There are so many great day trips around Cairns and Far North Queensland.  We took the opportunity to visit a real little gem at Behana Falls, just south of Cairns.  The crystal clear water was at a temperature that we can refer to as ‘refreshing’.  Absolutely beautiful for a swim and picnic lunch.   The water levels were quite low when we visited on New Years Eve as there had not been a lot of rain.  The falls would be quite impressive in full flow after rain.
